Here's an interesting idea incomplete is worth less, not worthless, it's not worth nothing, it's just worth less than it would be if it was complete.
This is playing out in a couple of areas of my life right now.
Number one, I have a shed being built.
And that shit, it's been delayed multiple times.
And so, right now, the roof is on.
But that's about it; at least the roofs on it have some value; it definitely has some value.
But compared to the final plans, what it's finally going to be right now as it stands is relatively worthless.
This is also the same in an interesting situation with an off-the-plan rental property.
This one was meant to have been finished by June 2022.
We're now in July 2022.
As far as I can see, not much has happened.
This is pretty concerning.
And I think as the next instalment payments come up, we're going to have to ask some serious questions about Hey, is it worth pulling out of this thing do we actually extract out because of the delays because of the difficulty is because of all of the supply chain things.
So this, this idea, though, plays out in business in terms of when things are not completed, that the work that's required gets half done, or three quarters done, or even 90% Done.
And this is given often as the analogy of the half-made bridge that you got to get across the river.
And so you build a bridge, but you get halfway there.
And the entrepreneur within decides that's not a good idea.
Pull back, build another half bridge, build another half bridge, build another half-bridge, and this, this, this is very costly because there are only so many half-bridges that can be built before run out of cash when at a time run out of resources run out of whatever it is.
And it would have been better to build one bridge that actually may not have been the masterpiece bridge, but at least it was a complete bridge.
And so the question is, Will where in your life are you allowing incomplete to be your reality? Perhaps occasionally, you have to make that harsh call and say you know what, this one's not worth it.
But when you began when you started on that project, when you started on that, on that build on that on that software on whatever it is, there was an intention to complete.
And when that completion happens, that's when the value goes way up.
Set encourage you to consider how you track and make sure that everything gets done for me IT systems track the processes systems track the results when they're all marked done, I know it's done, the work gets done, and therefore it is worth much more than having incomplete Alright, that's all I got for you tonight.
