Some states are moving to permanent daylight saving?

Some states are moving to permanent daylight saving, permanent daylight saving.

What an interesting concept.

Now, I live in a place where we got daylight saving.

But about two hours off the road is another state that said not you know what? The Daylight Saving thing.

We don't want to do it.

So on the eastern seaboard of Australia, all the way down, which is in the same time zone, except we routinely run on two separate times.

Now, same business call with some buddies.

And now we're like, guess what some of the states are doing over here in America? I might what? Moving to permanent daylight saving, like, Wow, what an interesting concept.

On one part, unlike wonderful, at least, you can stop having a problem that come from these time changes.

When a California moves, I got to remember that California moves, I got some calls over there.

And they all change one hour.

And as it goes forward or back, I'm not even in America.

So it's very hard to work out, they actually come forward.

So what was an ATM call becomes a 7 am call what was the midday call becomes an 11 am call.

This is most frustrating for everybody else in the world.

But realize it's not just California doing it's happening all over the place.

The original ideas for Daylight Saving came from a pre-tech world, there's no doubt about it.

These were largely instituted after World War Two, the original idea came out of New Zealand, of all places, and that Oh, like let's move the clocks two hours forward.

Now, I'm not such a big fan of daylight saving.

You see, I think that we're all grown up.

Now we're all able to work out, hey, if I want to work from nine to five, I can work from nine to five, if I want to work from eight to four, then I can work from eight to four if I want to do from 4 am in the morning until seven at night, good for you.

But every time the cover the government's keep changing these clocks, there are impacts on the ability for us to get stuff done.

I might if you go to work at 10 am.

Like that's your business.

But if we could just keep the clock stable, it'd be really helpful.

Unfortunately, our world as Russia is finding out right now is highly interconnected.

And all of these changes.

All of these things that keep moving then are not that important.

Whether the sun lines up with midday directly overhead or whether you want to line it up at 1 am or 1 pm.

Whatever time doesn't really matter.

It does not matter.

What matters is that we have a consistent clock that I can work off that you can work off, and we don't mess up on the time zones, because we have an outdated idea.

So my thoughts are congratulations on moving to permanent daylight saving it is far better to have a permanent time change.

And just run with that.

My actual take on it.

Why do you even bother? Just get rid of daylight saving the people who want to get up early, get up early and start work early.

Those who want to get up late, get up late and start work late.

This actually could be extremely helpful for us as a society to say you know what, let's stop messing with the clocks.

Stop messing with the clocks set them up so they line up with the sun overhead at midday.

And off we go.

The tech world is a world that has surpassed the requirements for daylight saving.
