How to give effective feedback for fast project results.
Welcome to today's episode, my name is Tom Rolley.
Excited to give you some feedback, if you listen to yesterday's episode, we discussed giving feedback to get things done to get a project to its next stage, and not have to loop back and do the same feedback over and over.
Traditionally, I used a long video, I split the videos, and the results were pretty good, pretty good.
Got about an 80% hit rate, which I will take, I'll definitely take an 80% hit rate, you may want 100%.
But you can get 100% you just have to pay a lot more in terms of people who've been trained who've been invested in.
And particularly one rule from Wake Up Warrior that I'll share with you, which is details matter like that all of the changes get made, this rule in itself has been life-changing for me, suddenly, it was like you know what, I'm tired in order to really want to look at the details.
But when I do, and when I did, then the results that I get from that are so much better, it comes down to the idea of that system whereby having a system prevents errors.
The same with this rule details matter means that the details are taken care of.
This is a way of living.
This is a principle for life, but it makes a difference.
But when I'm dealing with people who don't speak English in the first language, so living in India, or Pakistan, or the Philippines or whatever, I'll take 80%.
And what I learned in today's feedback was that I can get even better.
So basically, this time I did one video per page as like, Hey, here are the changes that need to be made for this one page.
Here are the changes that mean for me made for the second page, one post one video, one page.
Next one, one post, one video, one page, next one, one post one video, one page.
And this was designed to enable the feedback to be integrated while they're working on that one page.
And I say you know what, this is actually a pretty good way of giving feedback.
And yes, it meant five videos.
But guess what, like today we have tools that record the screen, record my voice, and get basically immediately uploaded or very quickly uploaded to the cloud.
Here's the link share the link done and dusted.
If you don't have a tool like this, then you should get one you should use this in the old days used to have to do a screencast or was the other one called Camtasia and then upload it to Dropbox but now all of that's just been automated things like loom or video recorder or Vimeo Vimeo record will do it.
Vimeo records been the one that I've been using and it's been great been epic is like wow, this is a great tool.
But today, the lesson is about effective feedback.
And by chunking it down into organized aspects of feedback it significantly increases the implementation which reduces the speed, the sorry, the slowness that the project gets completed.
So have a think where in your world you can integrate this principle of segmented feedback for better results for increased speed and more profit for you.
That's all I got for you.
Today.
I'm going to go and do my general’s tent.
I've also got a Christmas party so it's looking like a good day.
Hope you have an awesome day.
Look forward to seeing in the next episode.
As we continue this journey into the power of systems great results.
See you then.
