Systems are held up as a holy grail of business.
Because they make a logarithmic difference in how easy it is to run and produce cash in a business.
Systems mean the right work gets done, in the right order, to produce the right results by the people and AI's in your team.
But while the structure of doing the work of a system and tracking its progress allows your team to do the work required...
You might also wonder... How do these systems get started?
Somewhat surprisingly, I have only found two.
I've been looking for a third, but no luck so far...
So here they are:
The first system start is when there is some kind of "event".
Something happened, and now, something else needs to happen.
- A new lead came in and needs a meeting with the sales team.
- A new sale was made, and the order needs to be fulfilled.
- A new team member is necessary, so the work requires hiring them.
- You need new advertising copy for a funnel.
- You need a new funnel... or website... or...
There is a trigger event, and then a new set of work needs to be done.
I copy the relevant system from its template and we get after the work.
The second start condition is systems that run on schedules.
- Every day.
- Every week
- Every month.
- Every quarter.
- Every year.
These are pretty easy to set up...
I like to use a repeating event in Google Calendar with a direct link to the relevant system.
I have Google Calendar email me the event so I don't accidentally miss it.
I click the link, make a new copy of the system, archive the email, and we are good to go.
Hope you found this useful
And please let me know if you find a third "system start" condition!
